Do you edit your images?
Yes! Each image is edited using Adobe Lightroom, with minor touch-ups being done in Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Gift certificates will be available for the 2017 season!
What is the best time for outdoor sessions?
I try to schedule all outdoor sessions in the morning or evening in order to take advantage of the gorgeous soft light offered at dawn and dusk. I understand this may not be suitable for everyone’s schedule and will work with you if that’s the case to ensure the location will allow me to still capture you in the best light.
How far in advance should I book our session?
I book as far in advance as I receive requests – usually a year to a year and a half. If you are looking to have an order placed for products and/or gift items, remember to factor in the following: turnaround time, the time needed for product/print order (two weeks if ordered through me) and an extra 1-2 weeks in case of weather issues.
What do I wear?
It’s best to keep outfits comfortable. Layers are a great option, giving room for unexpected dips/spikes in temperature and offer multiple clothing looks. Stay clear of busy patterns and logos, instead choose something that will complement each other; not match identically.
Are pets allowed?
Absolutely! Pets are very much a part of your family, but I do ask clients to be mindful that there will be images without their pets and arrangements should be available (ie. small travel kennel)
What to bring?
For family and/or children portrait sessions: a drink, favorite toy and any outfit changes. Ensuring your child has eaten and are well rested (ie naps if afternoon session) will ensure a more comfortable session.
How long does a photo shoot last?
Mini sessions are 30 minutes, full portrait sessions are 60-90 minutes, and newborn sessions are 120 sessions.
How do we book you?
Simply email me at info@tonyamariea.com with your date preferences and the type of session you’re looking for. If I have your date available I will send along pricing information along with a photography agreement. Your session will be booked and confirmed once the agreement and retainer is received.
When will I receive my photos?
My turn around time for portrait sessions is 2-4 weeks. Once your images are ready I will upload them to a private, password protected viewing gallery. I will send you an email with your viewing invitation and all pertinent information included. You will be able to share and download your images straight from your gallery.
Please Note: Single images can be downloaded and saved to your mobile device, but access to a computer will be needed to download your gallery in its entirety.
Where will the photos be taken? Do you have a studio?
Unfortunately, no. At the moment I do not offer studio sessions. I do prefer to shoot using natural, available light, although I have external flash available for those indoor locations requiring it.
What can I expect from a session with Tonya Mariea Photography?
FUN! I am a very easy going individual who loves to make small talk, chase your little ones around and laugh. Rest easy, most children get a little crazy, resolve in giggle fits and want to exert their energy – let them! This allows me to capture genuine, authentic images.
When do I pay for my session?
Retainer is due upon booking with the remainder due by the time of your session. Sessions will not take place until payment is received.
Do you deliver every image you shoot?
I will cull through your images to remove any duplicates; any images with eyes closed; any images that have soft focus etc. Once this process is finished, I will edit and deliver the remaining images through your online gallery.
What rights do I have to the digital prints?
You have the right to share and print your images once they are received. You cannot edit the images; sell or use for publication unless you receive consent from me prior to.
Please Note: I cannot guarantee image quality printed outside of the lab I use.
How many images do you deliver in the online gallery?
This depends on the package chosen, with amounts varying from 15-40.
