Daisie is my best friends older sister. I’ve known them all for what seems like a lifetime and as long as I’ve known Cindy, Daisie has been with Jamie. So when Cindy finally broke the news that they were tying the knot, I honestly couldn’t have been more excited. This is what love was. The long haul of laughter, tears and memories.
Daisie and Jamie has shared all of these along with two beautiful daughters. They share a passion for music which, let me tell you, has graced the Chipman clan in spades. Some play, some sing, but gripes the talent! Their oldest daughter Kayla, along with their niece Molly, surprised them with a song during the dinner. As you’ll see below, everyone was entranced!
When I was asked to shoot their wedding, I’ll be honest, I had a moment when I wanted to say no. Not because I didn’t feel honored that she wanted me to, but because it would be my first wedding. I was a portrait photographer. It was my thing; my comfort zone really, but this was Daisie, a woman I had known for SO long and a true testament to what love and marriage stood for. So I said yes and I’m so glad I did. Getting to experience her day with her from start to (almost) finish was incredible.
June 20 wasn’t just a random date chosen by the couple either, it was the wedding anniversary of not just Jamie’s parents, but his grandparents as well! What makes this even more incredibly sweet? Jamie’s wedding band belonged to his grandfather. A wonderful testament to a long, strong marriage.
I wish you both a long, incredibly amazing, loving life together. Thank you for allowing me to capture your wedding day!
